The key business driver for the programme created for Medvivo Group Ltd was to develop training for the company’s line managers, to equip them with the skills and tools needed to become great leaders and managers within the firm. Some of the company’s Team Leaders had never managed a team before and Daisy Newsome, Recruitment & Retention Manager for Medvivo Group Ltd, commented that the firm wanted them to access training “to give them the confidence to manage people whilst enabling them to work more efficiently and effectively”.
The company appointed True North to help them deliver a leadership programme consisting of six modules delivered over a three-week period. Medvivo Group Ltd has now implemented the training programme three times with True North and according to Daisy, the feedback from all the company’s employees has been “very positive”. As well as the new skills learned, a “really strong bond” has developed between each cohort and “[the cohorts] continue to provide each other with support and coaching on a regular basis”. As for the Business Improvement Projects which were created as part of the programme, Daisy added that since they have been implemented, the company has seen “real benefits”.
The success of the programme is also evidenced by the fact that the skills learnt by the line managers are used on a daily basis to manage their teams. Furthermore, as the company’s Recruitment & Retention Manager affirmed “the coaching skills that formed part of the programme are regularly used as a way to support peers through the business challenges they are facing!”
