Chris Halward

Chris has a well-deserved reputation as an instinctive, engaging and effective facilitator, trainer and coach. He has delivered to thousands of people all over the world on a range of subjects including leadership, management skills, strategic sourcing, governance and relationship management.


He first worked in a learning and development role in the late 1980s as Head of training and quality service at Lombard Tricity, a market leading outsource provider of retail financial services. This was followed by time spent as a director for a contact centre consultancy and as a training consultant and management and leadership coach.

In recent years he has been a director of the Global Sourcing Association, responsible for the development and delivery of training and qualifications for managers and leaders working in a strategic sourcing role. This included topics such as governance, design thinking, risk management, communications skills and even programmes on robotic process automation.

Chris has delivered programmes for organisations as diverse as the Irish public service, Aviva insurance, the BBC, the Construction Industry Training Board, Capita, HCL and the Telegraph Media Group.
He has contributed widely to the development of several international standards including the ISO for collaborative working.

Chris graduated in Philosophy from the University of Birmingham and has a Masters degree from Middlesex University. He is an accredited Myers Briggs coach.
