Outsourcing Qualifications "Jump" Start 2010
Winning the National Association for Outsourcing's Academic Achievement Award, has, says Graham Jump, given his business an excellent kick-start to 2010.
Graham is thrilled with his success on the NOA Diploma in Global Strategic Outsourcing.
"When the NOA announced the launch of its Outsourcing qualifications in late 2008 it was immediately obvious to me as an outsourcing adviser that this would be of value in my business. I signed up immediately, as I was also keen to be involved at the start to help shape the development of the programme."
"Because of the way it is designed, the Diploma should be a perfect fit to any candidate's requirements. The initial module reflects on your career and practice to date, and also on the Outsourcing Lifecycle, easing you into the academic approach. Then the second and third modules are research questions of your own choosing. A half-dozen or so workshops with the course leader and fellow students are positioned at tactical points throughout the nine months or so of the course with the emphasis very much on facilitated group learning and action planning."
"I knew that the course would lead in unexpected directions, and so it has proved, from meeting my fellow Diploma candidates (not consultants!), through researching what economic theory and business psychology might reveal about outsourcing, to challenging some of my long held beliefs. However the biggest unexpected result was to be given the NOA Award for Academic Achievement 2009 for my module 2 paper "What is Value for Money in Outsourcing?". This led to a speaking slot at the NOA Summit and a number of new and renewed business contacts - a welcome kick-start to 2010."
