NOA Summit a success
The National Outsourcing Association (NOA), have hosted their 7th Annual Summit.
The Sourcing Summit is widely regarded as the UK's leading sourcing event, attracting delegates from a wide range of sectors and providing a platform for senior business figures to debate key issues.
As companies face increasing pressure to realise rapid cost-reduction targets and reduce risk, the development of strong IT and outsourcing strategies can be critical. This year's Sourcing Summit looked at the key challenges and pressures facing the outsourcing relationship and discuss how to ensure that the drive towards cost efficiency and increased contract flexibility doesn't come at the expense of quality.
True North, who manage the NOA's professional development arm NOA Pathway, facilitated a session at the Summit. The session was designed to provide delegates with a taste the NOA Pathway development programmes. Graham Jump (winner of the NOA Award for Academic Achievement 2009) presented his thoughts on value in outsourcing and Chris Lonsdale, of the Birmingham University Business School presented on risk in outsourcing. Delegates then formed discussion groups to share their own ideas and views. The feedback from those taking part was very postive, with many welcoming the opportunity to share experiences and learning with colleagues, a key aspect of all NOA Pathway programmes.
Chris Halward, True North Managing Director said "We were proud to attend the summit, and are delighted to continue to work in partnership with the NOA on delivering their NOA Pathway professional development programmes".
