Different
How much time and money are you wasting on training? Organisations' want training to add value yet in most cases the training is likely to add more cost than value. Why? Because the training provider undertakes little or no exploration of the issues and the opportunities that it is hoped the training will address.
The offered 'solution' is always the same 'one size fits all' standard course. While there is some limited benefit from such courses, they have little lasting impact on organisational performance.
True North is different: really different.
Every programme delivered by True North is targeted at a defined need. We explore issues and opportunities - and the required outcomes - with clients before proposing a solution. So, each True North programme is a uniquely created to address specific requirements. This approach has some highly desirable outcomes.
- Training has its roots in solving real practical issues so there is a fast impact on the business.
- People don't waste time learning things which are not of value.
- Programme content is highly relevant to the participants, so people are always engaged.
- Course events are transformed and result in real behavioural change back in the workplace.
- Results can be measured against meaningful business criteria.

We understand the problem before providing the solution.
Before we recommend a solution, we work with customers to understand the business issues. We also explore what the desired outcomes are. We focus on practical business problems, so our solutions always provide real business benefits which are specific to each customer.
Participative, not passive.
True North's programmes are highly participative. This means that people take control of their own issues and are responsible for exploring those changes needed to achieve the desired outcomes for the business. In short, this means that more of what happens on the programme really sticks - people's behaviour changes and the business gets the results it needs. (Contrast this to standard chalk-and-talk courses, which have little interaction. These make people feel motivated for a short while, but have little real impact on the business itself.).
Real business results.
Because we identify specific problems before we provide a solution, we can measure the results of the training against meaningful business criteria. This means we can not only assess individuals' skills improvements but also the actual impact on both their roles and on the business, whether that's sales performance, employee retention, customer service levels or absenteeism. What we do sticks. It results in real change - not just a few days' increased motivation. We help people, teams and organisations to be fundamentally better at what they do and how they work with others.
Real value.
You might expect that True North's more comprehensive and business-focused approach comes at a significant price premium. It doesn't. Because our programmes are tightly defined and targeted, they are highly cost-effective. And because they get real results, they offer outstanding value.
