chris halward

Chris is committed to promoting learning as both a powerful way to add tangible value to an organisation and to ensure that organisations achieve their goals.

He has a reputation as an effective, challenging and pragmatic coach, beginning his career with KPMG, a move which provided the sound commercial and practical focus that has defined his style and approach ever since. Having spent his early career in finance and sales, he took up a senior appointment within the Lombard group as training and quality service manager – and has remained in the field of individual and organisational development for the past twenty years. He continues to work with senior people, in both the profit and not-for-profit sectors.

Along with his skill and experience as a coach, Chris has considerable experience in organisational development and change, having worked on organisational structures, culture, performance and talent management, as well as both strategic and tactical learning and development.  He has a particular interest and expertise in action learning and continues both to design and deliver action learning-based programmes, as well as undertaking research in the field.
He has worked throughout the UK, mainland Europe, USA and the Middle East in many different sectors, all of which serves to contribute to the breadth and depth of his knowledge, experience and insight in the real issues facing organisations.

Chris has an honours degree in philosophy, and is qualified and accredited in the use of a range of psychometric tools including MBTI and TMS.  Chris is an associate tutor with Chester University where he is an assessor on its masters’ degree programmes.
